How do we move towards protecting the future for all children? In times of tragedy, as Mr. Rogers said, "Look for the helpers."

The tragedies in Israel and Gaza are driving polarization throughout the world. Yet for years, people have been working hard to establish paths beyond the conflict. Micah L. Sifry brings help and hope in his Substack The Connector, writing about a grassroots organization of people, Jewish, Palestinian and Arab, who have been working together to build a shared future: Standing Together

Libby Lenkinski of New Israel Fund, introducing their recent event with the leaders of Standing Together, said, “We are here for something that feels possible and shared, outside of the polarity we’ve all been experiencing.”

People committed to working together are helpers looking to the future, reminding us all, as Alon-Lee Green of Standing Together does: "The only question that needs to be asked is how we can live together.”

Tragedies happen all too often, and we've gathered some resources for parents and children, including music and play ideas, here - Tragedies. And there are more links to help for all kinds of difficulties in the Resources section of our website.
