You’ll notice there are no advertisements on our site (and thus, no revenue for us from ads) – we believe parents need a refuge, a peaceful place to find reliable information, a place to connect with each other and to recharge.

For more than 25 years, individual donations have sustained Family and Home Network, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Family and Home Network is registered with GuideStar, you can visit our page on their website for more information about FAHN, including recent tax returns (GuideStar requires you to register -- it is free -- to view financial information).

Over 90% of funds go toward the costs of running the organization, including liability insurance for our volunteer Board of Directors and Officers, storage facility rental, bank fees, business licences and fees, and internet/website costs. Those expenses enable us to do our work, which is accomplished primarily by volunteers. Our entire payroll (salary) expense is under $500 per year (yes, someday we'd like to pay some part-time staff salaries but for now we're able to keep operating thanks to our dedicated volunteers).

We welcome donations by check. Please be sure to send us your name and address. Please make your check payable to "Family and Home Network" and mail it to: Family and Home Network, P.O. Box 492, Merrifield, VA 22116.

And we welcome online donations. To make a donation by credit card, please use the "JustGive.org" service by clicking on the following button. FAHN searched hard for the best service, and we are very happy to have found JustGive.org, which is itself a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. They charge FAHN just 4.5% of the donation amount, a much lower percentage than other services. You will receive an email receipt from "support@JustGive.org" - it shows that your donation was made to Family and Home Network. Your credit card will be charged by "JustGive". 

Please take advantage of any matching donation program available to you -- your employer (or your spouse's employer) may match your donation.

About our website and a future "membership" option -- we built this website at no cost by using the great services of Drupal Gardens (and the volunteer labor of FAHN's executive director, Catherine Myers). We now pay a small monthly fee ($20) to Drupal Gardens so we can keep our website ad-free and so we can count on Drupal Gardens to keep the "behind the scenes" aspects of the website running smoothly. Please be patient as we learn and develop the website.
