Family and Home Network, a grassroots national nonprofit organization, helps families spend generous amounts of time together. We focus on children's needs for warm, nurturing relationships with their parents—and on parents' experiences and feelings as they take the time to meet their children's needs. We analyze family policy issues and communicate with media representatives and policymakers. Family and Home Network leads the Campaign for Wholehearted Family Policies, a coalition of individuals and organizations calling for public policies that support and respect parents' choices about how to meet their income-earning and caregiving responsibilities.

Family and Home Network has a wealth of material from over 25 years of work, and we're busy adding it to this new website. There is information about children from birth through the teen years, about at-home parents' lives, about media and policy issues, and much more. Essays and poems offer insight and inspiration. We're organizing things in the three categories you see on our home page - Affirmation, Information, Advocacy.

Since the organization's founding in 1984, thousands of volunteers have contributed their time and expertise to Family and Home Network -- writing, editing, studying public policy issues, representing the organization at national conferences or in interviews with the media, and working diligently on the everyday business of running an organization. Please help! Contribute your time--and your financial support--to Family and Home Network.

You’ll notice there are no advertisements on our site (and thus, no ad revenue for us) – we believe parents need a refuge, a peaceful place to find information, to connect with each other and to recharge. Our volunteers, staff and supporters are diverse in many ways, including the ways in which we share or divide the income-earning and caregiving responsibilities in our families. Please help us build on the strength of our "affirmation, information, advocacy" for parents and children - show your support with a generous tax-deductible contribution!
