Volunteer Information

Almost all of the organization's work is accomplished by volunteers—and most of it is done online. Work when it's convenient for you, commit to just a few hours per month (or more!). You'll have VERY understanding colleagues whenever family needs take precedence. Give your professional expertise a workout, learn new skills, be part of our decades-long grassroots effort. Please join us!

We're hard at work adding content and features to this new website, using open source tools (Drupal). If you can help, please let us know!

We are looking for photographs illustrating what we call "Captured by the Moment"—nurturing interactions between parent and child, grandparent and child, etc. We need volunteer photo editors—and we'll need your photos.

We have the need for:

• moderators and editors;
• people interested in public policy issues to join our policy team;
• local (northern Virginia area) volunteers for some of our "hands on" tasks and in-person meetings.
